Create a retro themed experience that would introduce guests to the hottest new hotel from Marriott International's brand Moxy located in Lower Manhattan.

The Strategy

Allow guests to feel apart of the emerging Downtown scene. I was responsible for designing and overseeing a guest journey that merged the allure of New York City in the 70’s and 80’s with how New Yorkers play today, curating an atmosphere where any and all are welcome. 

The Execution

The Moxy Hotel took guests on an unforgettable night filled with nostalgia.

 

We transformed Recreation into a karaoke jam session that featured a live band, a pop-up Moxy Salon that styled guests to resemble the era, and a pop-up boutique with vintage apparel and one-of-a-kind items. Our celebrity djs and guests were encouraged to strut with our Instax one-take photo booth and have it as a keepsake or to add to the Moxy Yearbook. 

 

With each activation guests were enamored with our approach to recreating and paying homage to the days of legendary nightclubs and restaurants in New York.
